AH: My top pick would definitely be Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin. Can’t wait to get to it. Kim Harrison’s Into the Woods is also a must-read for me. I was looking forward to reading Iced, but I find that the book is rather expensive so I’ll wait on that one. I enjoyed Bared to You by Sylvia Day so I am am looking forward to Reflected in You. I have a few young adult/new adult books to read as well: The Assassin’s Curse, Crewel, and Breathe. October will be a busy reading month. Like Regina below, I have some very anxious kids eagerly awaiting Rick Riordan’s The Mark of Athena.

CHRISTAL: I think my most anticipated release would be Into the Woods by Kim Harrison. I actually just got the ARC for this one and am very excited to read it. I’m also looking forward to the third Abby Sinclair novel, A Trace of Moonlight by Allison Pang. I didn’t add it to this list because it’s supposed to come out at the end of Sep, but if Nightwalker by Allyson James does come out, I’ll be reading that one too. I will also be reading The Shattered Dark. I liked the Shadow Reader, and I want to see how this one plays out. My non-paranormal top pick would be Princess Elizabeth’s Spy. It’s a great historical mystery series that takes place during WWII. I just finished Shadowfever, and thankfully I already have Iced on hold at my library for as soon as it is purchased. I gotta say the thirteen year old in me is kind of excited about an adult RL Stine novel.

D.G.: Definitely Iced by Karen Moning, especially when I learned the audiobook was going to be narrated by the Ross and Gigante team. I came late to the Fever bandwagon so I’m looking forward to biting my nails with everybody because of those cliffhangers (yes, I’m preparing myself for them). I’m also looking forward to Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin…even though I’m scared of what’s going to happen!

MICHELLE: The Twelve! I’m really excited about that one. I have to make sure to put the follow up to The Passage back on my top “zombie” list again (they are vampires…oops). I can’t wait to read Rebel Heart by Moira Young and Reflected In You by Sylvia Day. Wait, how about I just say see AH and Regina’s list since I clearly have just said almost all the same books. Oh well!

REGINA: No question – Ashfall by Mike Mullin and Iced by Karen Moning.
I’m also adding Mr. Real to my can’t wait for books — 10/30 can’t come fast enough! My 13 year old daughter however is anxiously awaiting The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. If you would have asked me a year ago, The Twelve by Justin Cronin would have been on my top pick list. But now, I feel like too much time has gone by and I lost my enthusiasm. Yeah yeah, I know it is a huge book but The Passage ended with a cliffhanger and I read that August 2010! I will probably still read it; I am on the list for it at the library. I am excited for Rebel Heart by Moira Young, but it isn’t in my top list. I will also be busy at the beginning of October reading two late September releases: Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling and The Rapture by JR Ward. Oh and a big book related release for October … the new kindles!!

Awesome post, Christal! There are so many great reads for the month of October. I can’t wait to curl up with a good book this weekend.
Great post! So many awesome titles coming this month! I already pre-ordered A Trance of Moonlight by Allison Pang! So exciting! But that isn’t the only one by far.

I can’t wait to read the new Abby Sinclair book. With the way the second one ended, I just have to know what’s going to happen to our girl!
All those books look so pretty.
I should have added Mr. Real to my can’t wait for book — 10/30 can’t come fast enough!
Do you want me to add it, Regina? It would only take a second.
That would be great!
Wow, great post. And dang…too many books, too little time!!!
