Monthly Recap – March 2012

So many great book releases during the month of March! March has kept us all very busy. We were so excited to have Patricia Briggs, Suzanne Brockmann, Stacia Kane, and E.R. Pierce come by and visit our blog. In addition, we posted 19 reviews, 1 movie preview, and spotlighted the Jaz Parks series in “Sucker for Series.” We also introduced a new and very well-received feature “Hidden Gems” where we highlight indie writers and their books.

Patricia Briggs came by to talk about her newest book in the Alpha & Omega series Fair Game. We are big fans of her Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series. It was so much fun to learn more about her book, the characters, and future plans for the series. If you haven’t read Fair Game yet, you are in for a treat. We all loved the book.

Suzanne Brockmann joined us for an interview and a giveaway. Ms. Brockmann had a lot to say so her interview became a 2 day extravaganza. Navy SEALs, paranormal elements, action-packed excitement – Ms. Brockmann’s books are some of our favorites. Congratulations to Patricia D. our winner of a copy of Born to Darkness.

We welcomed Stacia Kane to our blog to talk about her newest book Sacrificial Magic. If you haven’t started reading the Downside Ghosts series, the first book is called Unholy Ghosts. This is a series that must be read in order. The Downside Ghosts series is one of our favorites and we love Chess and Terrible. Actually, sometimes it seems like we want to smack Chess, then hug her. We all agree that Terrible is one of the best fictional boyfriends out there. He makes us swoon.

Our last author interview of the month was very special to us. We welcomed E. R. Pierce to the blog as an author! Ms.Pierce’s new book Fractured Moon was also featured on our new feature – Hidden Gems. If you love werewolves, give Fractured Moon a try. I fell in love with Aurelia and Ceithan. Ms. Pierce has also published a short story called Finding Time, an erotic romance. Check them out!

Last but not least, if you haven’t had a chance to read this new feature, take a peek. Hidden Gems highlights 5 or 6 indie writers and their books. Some of these books were available as Kindle freebies, others we found through word of mouth. These are books that we feel need more exposure because they really are well written. Give these authors a chance, maybe you’ll find a hidden gem of your own.

We’re taking suggestions for Hidden Gems. If you know of any, let us know.
