Ugh you know, just when you find yourself on a roll, Google has to go and pull out the carpet. Google Friend Connect no longer works here at Badass Book Reviews, as well as most other websites. They say it was going to start in March 2012, but I’ve already noticed that it no longer works. I’m going to be removing it completely from the site today, and I just wanted to make you aware of the other ways you can follow Badass.
We want you to stay connected with us. We want you to comment on our posts. That’s the best thing that you can do, add your thoughts and comments. Tell us what you like and don’t like. Banter with us.
We, of course, think we are pretty freaking awesome. I mean, I know I swear a lot, and hey, sometimes I’m sorry about that…sort of. And AH always posts thoughtful, insightful reviews, and Lethal is always ready with the snark. We are team badass, and we want you to stay with us.
OKAY, so I’m not boycotting google, I just needed a NO GOOGLE image
So, there is no google friend connect. Personally, I didn’t like it anways *crosses arms over chest* I couldn’t figure out how to check the blogs I joined, they were never in my reader, and it was irritating. There, I said it. *phew*
So, what are your options now? You can subscribe via email, this is the fastest, easiest way to stay in touch. The downside to reading in your reader is that most don’t come and comment on the site. And I know this means nothing to most of you, but if we don’t have comments, then we don’t get to read books. There. I said it, out loud. The elephant in the room. Nobody want’s to come out and say that now that GFC is gone, publishers are going to have a harder time determining who to let read their books. Most have pretty strict guidelines and GFC was one of them. So, we have to show them that we rock! So, please comment, comment, comment. I love comments! We all do.

Another thing you can do is:
Click this link, and then click one of the following options direct to your reader.
If you don’t like any of those options, you can also follow us on Twitter @badassbooksblog, or on Tumblr, though I am not as active on Tumblr as the blog, but it’s fun and where I post the racy pictures *wink wink*
Or, if you are really ambitious, you can follow us on twitter, AND through your chosen reader AND email. Just to make sure you are always up to date on our latest reviews, giveaways, interviews and contests. You won’t want to miss us in 2012, that is for damn sure!! We have many exciting things planned. Top Secret plans to take over the world! (I don’t think I was supposed to say that out loud though, so shhhhhhh) Don’t tell anyone our evil plans ok?
Thank you for being with us, and reading our blog. It’s fun and we enjoy what we do. If you enjoy our work, please consider keeping in touch with us. Though if you don’t, that’s ok too. Lighting won’t come down and strike you…maybe. I make no guarantees. (I’m totally kidding.)
Up on the top right hand side of our website are our follow icons. You can follow us on Goodreads, Twitter, Tumblr, Amazon, RSS and G+. Oh yea, the whole reason GFC is gone is so that we are forced to use the G+ platform. Well, let me tell you, I don’t really like it!!
Here are our G+ pages:
Here is Erika’s Page
Here is Badass Book Reviews new Page
The end!

Hmmm… GFC is still working for us, but I figure it will probably go away before the March deadline. While I've never been a fan of GFC, it's sad to see it go simply because publishers do use it as a benchmark for choosing who gets books. Wonder what they will do now?
I got the email. That sucks about the google friend thing. Yuck. I will do my best to keep up with your posts. Best wishes!
Am now using RSS feed to follow you
Signed up for email. I can't promise I will come by and comment, but I'll try to do so occasionally.
Thanks Jen, that's all we can ask!
I am with you on the Google+…just not really liking how it flows. Maybe it will grow on me I guess. Dont worry though, I follow you a few ways so I will be lurking around making comments
I too am trying to find a way to replace GFC. I just put up Networked Blogs but I really dislike FB and I am not a fan of anything Google now that everything I use seems to get retired.
I have been a subscriber through GFC, RSS and Twitter, so I will keep up with you. Will also try to comment as much as possible since I too love comments on my blog!
This seems to be causing a lot of hassle everywhere! I'll hook up with you on Twitter (I'm @RuthLSteven)
