Naked Werewolf Series by Molly Harper

The Naked Werewolf Series by Molly Harper Author Molly Harper is a new discovery for me. And I am late to the game in trying out her paranormal romance series, but the old cliche is so true — better late than never. Molly Harper writes darned funny books and I just love her take on the werewolf world. She writes about normal people, living average lives and she mixes in the supernatural with some fun romance. Biting comments, sarcasm and some embarrassing moments lead to great fun in the Naked Werewolf books. These are perfect novels, but they are fun. [ Read More of this Review ]

ARC Review: Out for Blood by Kristen Painter

Out for Blood by Kristen Painter Book #4 in the House of the Comarré series Publication Date: 30 Oct 2012 ARC Provided by Netgalley and Orbit Christal’s Review – 4 Skulls – B+ OUT FOR BLOOD is the fourth book in the House of Comarré series and I really enjoyed it.  The pace was quicker, the POV changes were handled more smoothly, and the plotlines were integrated much better. Chrysabelle has had the Ring of Sorrows melted down and stitched into her skin as signum.  It is giving her some odd powers, but she is still more concerned about searching for her brother.  At [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Coveted by Shawntelle Madison

Coveted by Shawntelle Madison Book #1 in the Coveted series Publication Date: 24 April 2012 Review Copy Provided by Netgalley and Ballantine Books Christal’s Review – 4 Skulls – B+ I went into COVETED knowing very little about it and I was pleasantly surprised. Shawntelle Madison has created a unique and engaging world that I am excited to learn more about. Natayla Stravinsky isn’t like most UF heroines. Even though she is a werewolf, she is considered useless by her pack and has been kicked out. Nat suffers from extreme OCD and she copes by excessively cleaning and hoarding Christmas [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter

Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter Book borrowed from library Christal’s Review – 3.5 Skulls – B- Flesh and Blood is the second in the House of Comarré series. It picks up about two weeks after the events of Blood Rights. I didn’t find this book to be quite as strong as the first, but I still really enjoyed it. The main reason this book didn’t work as well for me was the amount of POV changes. There seemed to be twice as many narrators in this book and the POV switches always occurred right when something big was about [ Read More of this Review ]
