Keep Reading, It Only Gets Better.. or Not

As a blogger, we have access to numerous novels not yet released. It’s like putting a kid in a candy store without a parent in sight and it is absolutely glorious. I’m so grateful for those advance reader copies because if I want to read a brand new story every day, I can do so. Even with an endless supply of advance reader copies, a continuing story in a established series draws me in even more. Why you ask? You already know the characters, the setting and the general storyline. The author can take an already developed storyline [ Read More of this Review ]

Human Remains by Elizabeth Haynes

Michelle’s Review – 5 Skulls – A+ This book is so disturbing. I hated what it did to me, how it made me think, made me question how I treat others, question my own motives, and question my relationship with my family. What does that say about me when I know how a sociopath is going to react (or in this case, not react)? It says nothing about me, and everything about the author and her brilliant writing. Fire Baptized (Habitat #1) by Kenya Wright *e-book purchased from Amazon.com* Regina’s Rating: 4.5 stars/Grade A+ Blurb: Since the 1970s humans have forced supernaturals to live in caged cities. Silver brands embedded in their foreheads identify them by species: a full moon for Vampires, a crescent moon for Shifters, a pair of wings for Fairies, and the list goes on, for each supernatural species has been tagged and categorized by humans. Lanore Vesta is marked with a silver X, the brand of Mixbreeds, second-class citizens shunned by society. She stays to herself, revealing her ability to create fire only during [ Read More of this Review ]
