Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin –D.G.: This is among the best second book in a trilogy I’ve ever read. It’s clear that Mr. Mullin really knew where he was going because this book was so exciting and action packed that I had my heart in my mouth for like 20 chapters straight. Post Apocalyptic is not one of my usual genres but I cannot get enough of this series! –Regina:  Mike Mullin writes maybe my favorite post-apocalyptic series.  Ever.  It is real, it has depth and has great action.  I cannot wait for the third book in this series. Best of 2012: Fantasy and Romance (Paranormal, Contemporary, Historical)

Alif the Unseen by G. Willow Wilson –Regina:  I have never read a book like Alif the Unseen before.  The fantasy and the cultural elements were so new to me and really done.  If you haven’t read it, you should give it a try. All Spell Breaks Loose by Lisa Shearin –Christal: All Spell Breaks Loose ends the Raine Benares series and Lisa Shearin took her characters out on a spectacular note.  Raine, Mychael, and Tam were wonderful as always and the story moved with Ms. Shearin’s trademark wit and verve.
