Keep Reading, It Only Gets Better.. or Not

As a blogger, we have access to numerous novels not yet released. It’s like putting a kid in a candy store without a parent in sight and it is absolutely glorious. I’m so grateful for those advance reader copies because if I want to read a brand new story every day, I can do so. Even with an endless supply of advance reader copies, a continuing story in a established series draws me in even more. Why you ask? You already know the characters, the setting and the general storyline. The author can take an already developed storyline [ Read More of this Review ]

The Shattered Dark Blog Tour - Guest Post and Giveaway

We’re so very excited to have Sandy Williams, author of The Shattered Dark here on our blog. Sandy’s guest post is all about The Things She Can’t Write Without. Welcome, Sandy! Happy Hallowe’en Five Things I Can’t Write Without My friends often ask me about my writing routine, how I write, where I get my ideas, what is my process for writing, etc. The answer to those questions is pretty boring: I sit down at my laptop, stare at my computer screen, and hopefully, type in some words. Some days, writing those words is more difficult than others, especially if [ Read More of this Review ]

ARC Review: Stolen by Shiloh Walker

ARC Review: Stolen by Shiloh Walker Book provided by Edelweiss and Ballantine Books Release date: October 30, 2012   AH’s Review – 4 Skulls – A- Stolen is the first book I’ve read by Shiloh Walker *hangs head in shame*. It definitely won’t be my last. Stolen is the story of a young author Shay Morgan and the man who loves her Elliot Winter. What’s nice about this story is that both the hero and heroine are damaged goods; each brings their own inner demons (or dragons, in Shay’s case) to the story. As Shay is introduced, she is so [ Read More of this Review ]

ARC Review: The Burning Bush (Habitat #2)

Michelle’s Review – 4 and 1/2 Skulls – A- I’ve been falling out of love with urban fantasy and paranormal books as of late. I’m not exactly sure when and how it happened but it did. My problems (since you asked): The monsters are not scary. We have vampires, werewolves, demons, shape shifters, witches, and every possible combo imaginable. We have “good” vampires and “bad” vampires. We have “sexy” shape shifters and “scary” shape shifters. Shoot, we even have horny demon doctors trying to save the world! We have it all, in all possible combinations, but even with the infinite [ Read More of this Review ]

It’s almost impossible to review this book without gushing. There is so much to love about The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams. Lover Reborn by J.R. Ward Book 10 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series Purchased at Amazon.com Release Date: March 27, 2012 Group Review – 3 and 1/2 Skulls – C+ Michelle’s Thoughts Wow. I usually do not continue reading a series for 10 books. I also, usually do not read a series where the author changes the main characters for each book in the series. Nevertheless, I find myself still reading the BDB series & I’m almost embarrassed to say…. I still like those boys. In fact, I REALLY like those boys. There is something intriguing about an almost 7 foot, almost [ Read More of this Review ]
