Keep Reading, It Only Gets Better.. or Not

As a blogger, we have access to numerous novels not yet released. It’s like putting a kid in a candy store without a parent in sight and it is absolutely glorious. I’m so grateful for those advance reader copies because if I want to read a brand new story every day, I can do so. Even with an endless supply of advance reader copies, a continuing story in a established series draws me in even more. Why you ask? You already know the characters, the setting and the general storyline. The author can take an already developed storyline [ Read More of this Review ]

You know how sometimes you get so excited when the new ARCs are released that you just have to request them all… but then you have to find enough time to read and review them?  That’s the boat I found myself in this month, so to catch up, I’m sharing three mini reviews about the ARCs I most recently read. Undeadly by Michele Vail Book #1 in the Reaper Diaries series Publication Date: 27 Nov 2012 ARC Provided by Netgalley and Harlequin Teen Synopsis from Goodreads: The day I turned 16, my boyfriend-to-be died. Sucker for a Series - Shifters by Rachel Vincent

The Shifters series by Rachel Vincent is one of my all-time favorite series. The reader is taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll probably want to scream and throw the books across the room. The Shifters series follows the werecat shifter Faythe Saunders and her family through a tumultuous period. I think what initially attracted me to the series was the mafia-like pride structure of the werecats. The power struggles were both fascinating and frustrating for me. A word of warning – if you dislike love triangles (and possibly squares) – you will [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Shadow Bound by Rachel Vincent

Review: Shadow Bound by Rachel Vincent Book 2 of Unbound series Book purchased from Book Depository AH’s Review – 4 Skulls – A- “I am a Traveler. A shadow-walker. I can step into shadow in one room, then out of shadow anywhere else I want to go, within my range. Sometimes I can look into one shadow and see through another one, somewhere else, like looking through a periscope, or one of those paper-towel-roll telescopes we used to play with as kids.” Shadow Bound is the second book in Rachel Vincent’s Unbound series. This is not your regular run of [ Read More of this Review ]

New Release: The Return Man by V.M. Vito

The Return Man by V. M. Vito Book Provided by Orbit Publishing and Netgalley Regina’s Rating: 4 Skulls, Grade A Regina’s Review – 4 Skulls – A- This is a fun book.  There are some books I read that strike me so strongly as a story that would translate well into a movie.  The Return Man is one of those movies.  I read a lot in this genre.  I love survivalist, end of society and end of world books.  When I saw this title I grabbed it because it fits everything I love about an action novel.  And it did not [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent

AH’s Review – 4.5 stars – Grade A- Finally, a paranormal book without a single vampire, were, or other paranormal creature. Yes, it can be done. I loved the concept of this book. Blood Bound has a rich and extensive world. This is a world where a single drop of blood holds the power to expose one’s whereabouts, and where a full name allows a person to be tracked. In Blood Bound, people with specialized Skills are highly sought after commodities. Many different Skills exist:  Trackers, Binders, Seers, Readers, Travelers, Blinders, Jammers, etc. Some Skills [ Read More of this Review ]
