ARC Review: Out for Blood by Kristen Painter

Out for Blood by Kristen Painter Book #4 in the House of the Comarré series Publication Date: 30 Oct 2012 ARC Provided by Netgalley and Orbit Christal’s Review – 4 Skulls – B+ OUT FOR BLOOD is the fourth book in the House of Comarré series and I really enjoyed it.  The pace was quicker, the POV changes were handled more smoothly, and the plotlines were integrated much better. Chrysabelle has had the Ring of Sorrows melted down and stitched into her skin as signum.  It is giving her some odd powers, but she is still more concerned about searching for her brother.  At [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter

Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter Book borrowed from library Christal’s Review – 3.5 Skulls – B- Flesh and Blood is the second in the House of Comarré series. It picks up about two weeks after the events of Blood Rights. I didn’t find this book to be quite as strong as the first, but I still really enjoyed it. The main reason this book didn’t work as well for me was the amount of POV changes. Dark Kiss of the Reaper was my first Kristen Painter book, and I think Blood Rights is an interesting take on Vampires and Shifters, Curses and Blood Slaves. Grade: B-/C+ First, let me kick off this review by saying that Blood Rights has one of the most [ Read More of this Review ]

Review: Dark Kiss of the Reaper by Kristen Painter

This is a wonderfully sweet Paranormal Romance Novel. Grade:B+ Oh, and so you know, I bought Dark Kiss of the Reaper from Amazon for 2.99. What a steal!     My Review Kristen Painter has a simple, beautifully poetic way of writing.  Her words captivated me from the start of Dark Kiss of the Reaper. Her cover artist is also fantastic! As an Angel of Death, Azrael provides Mercy to those souls who lived life by a strong moral code.  Sara, our leading lady is busting her ass working two jobs after her divorce. She is determined to make [ Read More of this Review ]
