Synopsis from Goodreads: First published as a five-part serial novel, Anything He Wants inflamed imaginations everywhere and became a national bestseller. Now available for the first time ever as a complete book, this edition contains never-before-released scenes and special bonus material. Don’t miss this erotic tale of a powerful billionaire who always gets what he wants and the young woman who’s about to enter his exclusive realm–a world of glittering opulence and all-consuming passion, where she’ll explore the darkest reaches of her own desire.

Lucy Delacourt’s temp position isn’t quite her dream job but it pays the bills. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings with a handsome stranger. Tall, dark, and sexy as hell, Lucy knows he’s way out of her league, but a girl can look, right?

Everything changes the day the stranger seduces her. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn’t know will change her life forever. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one taste isn’t nearly enough to satisfy his need. As the billionaire pulls Lucy deeper into his world of high stakes business deals and ruthless takeovers, he demands nothing less than her complete surrender. But even as enemies seek deadly revenge against him, she’ll discover that her greatest threat is falling for her fiercely guarded boss…and yielding to her own darkest needs.

AH’s Review – 2 Stars – D

Hmmm…I’m having a déjà lu (as opposed to déjà vu) moment. Have I read this book before? Or something very much like it? I really wanted to like this book; I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this book read very much like a fan fiction.

Anything He Wants: Dominated by the Millionaire is the story of Lucy Delacourt, a young temp. Every morning she rides the elevator with a very handsome stranger. He notices her, and is attracted to her, and things get hot and steamy. Later that day, she once again hooks up with the gorgeous stranger and has another hot and heavy encounter in the building’s parking lot.

The next day, Lucy is summoned to  the company CEO’s office. Guess who the handsome stranger is? Jeremiah Hamilton. CEO of Hamilton Industries. Big surprise. Jeremiah tells her that his company is laying off all temp workers, but he makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Jeremiah proceeds to interview her bent over his desk for a well-paying “personal assistant” position.

*Facepalm* OK, this is so wrong on many levels. Here, we have a subordinate female employee (in a very subordinate position) in financial difficulties basically backed into an “agreement” with the boss to do anything he wants. Sexual harassment lawsuit, anyone? The reality is that Lucy really had no choice – she needed a job.

I found the sex kind of boring. Jeremiah kind of likes his sex the same way. Sure, there were a few added toys here and there, but really, it kind of lacked the spark you see in other novels.

With regards to the story, it was just OK for me. Nothing really stood out. There was an exciting storyline about an assassination attempt and Jeremiah comes to the rescue. Apparently our billionaire CEO was also an army ranger sniper a few years back. Quite handy. I did like Jeremiah’s brother Lucas.

I must say that publishing a serialized novel should entail a little more editing in order to make all the parts of the serial more cohesive. I found the ending to be quite abrupt – it felt like the story was somehow incomplete.

Anything He Wants did not work for me. Readers who like serialized novels may enjoy this more than I did.
